This webinar series looks at ways to create powerful learning experiences in the virtual spaces. It is based on two pillars: learning science and media practice.
Drawing on the Sherpa Method, participants will learn how to create poise and presence on a webcam, keep learners engaged in the learning, and structure experiences that are easy to understand and remember.
This was originally designed as a live interactive webinar series for training professionals, in April and May 2020. It was designed to be short so folks could attend during their lunch hour.
Due to popular demand, the series has been turned into an online class.
One of the best ways to learn new skills and knowledge with other people in a live interactive environment. Unfortunately, this isn’t possible with on demand content.
To overcome this limitation, we recommend that you focus on applying one key technique or approach you learn from each module.
Take a few moments after the webinar to choose a technique, re-write it in your own words, and then plan a way to put it into practice. We explain why this is important in Sessions 4 and 5.
Session 1: Poise and Purpose. How to look good and have presence on a webcam.
Session2: Beyond PowerPoint. How to integrate multimodal learning content into the learning experience.
Session 3: Keeping Eyeballs. How to keep learners watching your webinar and prevent them from being distracted.
Session 4: Light Bulb Moments. How to help people understand your content and get aha moment, quicker.
Session 5: Sticky Learning. How to make your content stick in the virtual space.
